Nestled at the footsteps the Black forest in southwestern Germany, Kandern is a charming town with a rich history, picturesque landscapes and vibrant culture. The Celts who inhabited the area, named the town after the bright river “Kander” in the 8th century. The name comes from the Celtic “kandera” for clear flowing.
