About Me

When I was a young boy troubled by the challenges of childhood, I wrote a poem with the sincerity and innocence of youth which I would like to share with you. I love encouraging people to be true to themselves and express those God given gifts that everyone is blessed with for the fulfillment of peace, joy and purpose within our lives, while helping and inspiring our fellow neighbour. Being true to oneself is of utmost importance and takes much courage. From my youth, the serenity, adventure and sheer beauty of the world around me resonated deeply within my mind, heart and soul. What I experienced and felt a need to express found a creative outlet through my passion and love for poetry and photography

“A persons life is like that of a candle

A mere flame amongst a great many

A flame which within a few heartbeats

Will flicker and die, yet while I burn

Let me burn ever so brightly

For all to see”

An adventurous spirit combined with a love of exploration instilled within me a passion for photography at an early age. Having a deep love for nature, I felt instinctively drawn to the serenity, solitude and natural beauty offered by landscape photography which perfectly complemented my calm, deeply reflective nature. “The more I explore the amazing world that we live in, the less I seem to know, yet the more I’m inspired to experience that which I do not know.”

The exotic natural beauty of Australia and picturesque brilliance of Europe with its rich history and cultural diversity have provided ample sources of inspiration. Australia is blessed with wild, rugged beauty, vast spaces and diverse terrain amazing to behold. Europe is historically, culturally and geographically the richest and most diverse continent that I have yet experienced. With a vast heritage it never ceases to amaze me, and is dear to my heart.

Photography is a powerful medium that can express an individuals’ life experience to manifest something poignant within ones soul. I always ask myself what legacy do I aspire to leave behind, and in what way has my life had an impact on the lives of the amazing people who I’ve been blessed to have experienced throughout my travels. Photographymemoirs as experienced through my eyes and footsteps is my personal Odyssey that I would love to share with you.

“The unexamined life is not worth living.”   Socrates

My mission is to celebrate the natural beauty and diverse cultures of the world we live in, through my passion for travelling and building bridges between people via shared experiences and a spirit of mutual dignity, respect and compassion. I yearn to leave something beautiful behind that transcends both culture and time. My inspiration stems from my love for Christ Jesus. Photography is merely the messenger through which this love is expressed.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork”                  Psalm 19:1

  1. You are a beautiful Soul, Konstantine. It is a pleasure, and honour, to meet you.
May God Bless You and Yours, Infinitely and Always.
    Victoria

    1. Dear Victoria, the pleasure and honour are mine indeed. God has blessed me in many ways indeed for which I’m eternally grateful. Sometimes, suffering and hardship enables one if they have the courage, humility and above all free will to give themselves up to God. The process is long, difficult and painful, however necessary such that one’s heart is moulded so that grace abounds within. Thus, we’re able to experience love more fully and in turn love others more abundantly. If we can carry our suffering with dignity and still reflect the capacity to be merciful and loving, then we reflect the source of all that is love…Christ Jesus.
May God bless you and your family.

      2 Corinthians 12:9
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

      1. Sweet, Beautiful Konstantine,
Thank You, so much for this. Whether you realize it or not, you’ve just explained the profound, to me. In today’s environment, I find that declaring the healing powers of Jesus, and God, is all too often confused with organized religion’s fanaticism. Which unfortunately turns many people away from the path. Which is why I enjoy using all the great Masters’ words and teachings.
Thank You, my Friend. Much Love to You, and reflection, always.
        Victoria

“To love another person is to see the face of God.” ~Victor Hugo

      2. Dear Victoria, thank you for your kind and beautiful words.

Ancient Christian teaching so beautifully attested to in scripture and the universal experience of the early church teaches that peace, joy and suffering can exist together. This has been sorely neglected in modern Christianity, yet is beautifully manifested in the beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-12), which had a huge impact on me and helped enhance my faith, trust and love in Christ. Suffering, if we are willing to submit, is the great teacher of humility. Humility is absolutely necessary for pride to be diminished from oneself such that, the mind, heart, and soul can truly be purified to reflect the source of love through the grace of The Holy Spirit. Thus by inner transformation of the garden of our own heart, we are continually transformed, to be by grace what Christ is in essence, “Love”. This is the greatest lesson that I’ve learned in my spiritual growth; try not to judge, concentrate on the garden of your own heart, culminating a spirit of forgiveness, mercy and love, so that the fruits of The Holy Spirit may manifest in one’s life. Inner transformation through grace, reflects our love for Christ, which naturally leads to an outpouring of love for our fellow neighbour.
        God bless you Victoria

        Luke 9:23
Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

God bless you in every way

    2. You are most welcome and you thoroughly deserve the compliments; it seems that suffering has made your gift of poetry shine like a burning flame, for all to see.
      God bless you

  11. The most beautiful and open of introductions/ ‘about’. It’s an honour to journey through your eyes, thereby catching glimpses of heart and spirit too 🙂

  12. Just re-reading about you again (???) and noticed the scripture quoted about God’s handiwork. Only in the last few minutes I was reading some notes on His workmanship and thought you would like to see them – “Ephesians 2:10 and Romans 1:20 – poiema, here translated ‘workmanship’, is translated ‘things that are made’. These are the only two occurrences of this Greek word from which we get our English word ‘poem’. Thus, both the created world and the redeemed world are great divine ‘poems’ written by the Creator.” (Henry Morris Study Bible). From one poet to another (us), isn’t this a beautiful thought!

    1. Very interesting though I’m not at all surprised. Greek is quite poetic in structure and gives such beautiful meaning to prose. Thank you for this wonderful insight. Poetry is indeed a beautiful gift bequeathed to mankind.

    1. Dear Mark,
Thank you kindly for your comments which are both inspiring and encouraging, especially as they come from an accomplished photographer as yourself. I’ve had a look at your photography which I must say is quite striking, so please allow me to also say that your photography is quite astounding and displays true and rare talent.
      God bless

      1. Hi Konstantine, Thank you very much for your incredibly kind comments, it’s probably the most flattering one I’ve ever received. Quite frankly I’m very critical of my own photos so I’m always surprised when I get a “like” or follow. Looking forward to seeing more from your blog.

      2. The pleasure and honour are mine indeed Mark. Being self critical of one’s photography is a good thing as long as it inspires ones creativity instead of stifling it.

  13. Konstantine,

What a beautiful blog! The photos appear as those seen in fine magazines. Your inspiration is a blessing, and your eloquence refreshing.

    1. Dear Nin,
Thank you kindly for your lovely words of encouragement which honour me too highly. I looked through your beautiful blog; a smile crossed my face and my heart was full of joy
God bless you in every way

    1. Dear Lydia,
Thank you kindly for contacting me regarding my photography. At present I’m located on the other side of the world and quite preoccupied. Nevertheless, perhaps one day we could work together for our mutual benefit. Presently however I would have to decline your generous offer. Thank you for your consideration.

      Kind Regards

      Konstantine

    1. Thank you for your kind and generous words. It gives me glad indeed knowing that I was able to bring you some joy through my photography and words describing my experiences. Thank you once again.

    1. Thank you kindly for your words of inspiration which are greatly appreciated. I pray by God’s grace that I may in some way reflect His true beauty. Take great care and have a blessed day.

  15. Dear Konstantine,

In your blog you write that you “ask yourself in what way has my life had an impact on the lives of the amazing people who I’ve been blessed to have experienced throughout my travels”.
Although it’s been quite some time, I’d like to share with you my reflections and gratitude of you, a generous, humble and loving soul who has shaped me for the better.

We met when I was working at a gym in Melbourne around 2007. I’ll never forget the day you complemented me on my caring nature of people and suggested that I’d be a great Physiotherapist if I wanted to apply. I had never considered such a career until you encouraged me to do so. You then spent some of your free time tutoring me for my anatomy exams and opened me up to the possibility of a career in helping others.
Not long after, I was accepted into Griffith University on the Gold Coast and moved by myself in 2009 with the confidence that I would be the first University graduate in my family.

Fast forward ten years and I’m proud to report I’ve been a Physiotherapist for 7 years in Queensland and have my Masters in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy. My biggest achievement this year was leading the Brisbane Lions womens AFLW team into another grand final.

For the past ten years when people ask how I became a Physiotherapist, I always tell them of this story as I am so grateful to have met you.
I wanted to sincerely thank you for the influence you had on me at a young age when I needed that encouragement and confidence. I’m so happy to see you are living your passion still and hope you are very well.

    Kind regards, Tara Long

    1. Dear Tara,

I have not looked at my blog for many months and I have to say that your wonderful message brought me so much joy. I am glad that you eventually became a physiotherapist and am truly so happy and honoured to have helped you on your way.

I always sensed much goodness and humility in yourself, and am extremely proud of your achievement. I never doubted your ability, even when you did not believe in yourself so I thank God that I was able to instil some confidence and encouragement within a young girl unsure of what the future held.

God bless you in every way Tara wherever you are and whatever the future holds for you which I’m sure will be a bright one indeed.

      Kind Regards

      Konstantine

      1. Thank you Kon for those kind words. Keep making a positive impact on the lives of others and finding the beauty in all things. Add me on Facebook if you have an account.
        Cheers,
        Tara Long
