Nestled at the footsteps the Black forest in southwestern Germany, Kandern is a charming town with a rich history, picturesque landscapes and vibrant culture. The Celts who inhabited the area, named the town after the bright river “Kander” in the 8^th century. The name comes from the Celtic “kandera” for clear flowing.
